Michael Reynolds It is with profound regret that the Reynolds family and the community of Salisbury announces the passing of Michael Ross Reynolds, 45, by accident in Memramcook on Friday, January 7, 2004. Born in Mississauga, he was a son of Caroline (Petrie) Reynolds and the late Layton Reynolds. Michael was the owner-operator of The Right Stop in Salisbury. Michael had a big heart and always, a hug for everyone. Earlier years saw Mike as manager of the former Forestell's Big Stop and Vail's Dry Cleaning in Moncton. Active in all aspects of the community, especially youth related activities, Mike was a member of the Student Parent Advisory Council in Salisbury, Co-Founder of the Douglas Wheaton Memorial Scholarship, offered the space for a drop in center within his store for youth, was involved with the planning and construction of a skateboard park, assisted with Support To Single Parents, former acting president of the Greater Moncton Resource Center, and past member of the Moncton Chapter Literacy Society. He attended St. Paul's United Church in Riverview and Salisbury United Church where he had been a Sunday School Teacher and Youth Leader. He was a member of the Salisbury Lion's Club and a board member of the Lion's Villa. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his family, including his beloved wife, Tracey (Chamberland); cherished children, Layton and Judith-Anne at home; his mother, Caroline of Riverview; sisters, Karen Reynolds, Korea, Marie Reynolds, Riverview; brother, Stephen (Shanti), Scarborough; in-laws, Burton and Judy Chamberland, Florenceville; and by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Mark. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Monday 2 to 4 and in the evening from 7 to 9 p.m. where there will be opportunity for sharing stories. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, January 11 at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kathleen Zwicker officiating. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton. If so desired memorials to the Doug Wheaton Scholarship Fund or the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
