POWER , JAMES MICHAEL "JIMMY" - The death of James Michael "Jimmy" Power occurred on Friday, January 7, 2005 in Saint John, NB. Born in Saint John, April 18, 1948, Jimmy was the son of Sylvia (Stuart) Power and the late Gerald Power. A 1967 graduate of Saint John Vocational School, Jimmy was employed for over 30 years at Irving Paper until his retirement in 2003. He was a committed union member, belonging to the Canadian Paper Workers Union Local #601, and serving as shop steward for several years. Jimmy was an avid hunter and fisherman, and from his youth enjoyed many summers at his loft in St. Andrews. In addition to his mother Sylvia, he is survived by his beloved daughter Lisa; sisters Judy (Ray) Glennie, Marybel; brother Andy (Kathy); and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January, 11, 2005 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Fallsview Family Reception Center. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Jimmy's memory may be made to the H.V.H.S./S.J.V.S. Scholarship Fund. www.castlefh.com
