Lucy E. Childs 1907 - 2005 Lucy E. Childs, 97, of the Jordan Life Care Center and formerly of Birch Ridge, Kent Co. passed away her residence on Sunday, January 9, 2005. Born in Mill Creek, Kent Co. Buctouche, on June 30,1907. The youngest daughter of the late Christopher and Catherine (Morrison) Childs. Lucy worked for several years in the Boston area before returning to Canada in 1942 and enlisted with the R.C.A.F. where she worked as a nursing assistant until the end of the war. She is survived by her nephew, John Zirpolo and his wife, Georgina of Birch Ridge, Kent Co. and by her niece, Lucille Vanzieleghem and her husband, Andre of Kitchener, ON and by several grand nieces and grand nephews. Lucy is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by sisters, Catherine, Sarah and Anna and by a brother, John. No visitation by request. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Blair Holden officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations made to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by her family.
