Joseph "Joe" Wilfred Deveau July 13, 1929 - January 09, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) DEVEAU, Joseph Wilfred "Joe" - 75, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Sunday, January 9, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born July 13, 1929, in Halifax and grew up on McNab's Island, he was a son of the late Leo and Rose Marie (Harris) Deveau. Joe was in the Marine Branch of the RCMP; worked at the Bedford Ammunition Depot and was the proprietor of Joe's Fish and Chips, Windmill Road, Dartmouth. He also worked with Bob's Taxi for a number of years, retiring in 1992. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, the former Joan Rosemarie Middleton; daughter, Joy (Clyde) Colbourne, Jeddore; sons, Leo (Aline), Brantford, Ont.; Lenny (Kathleen), Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Scott, Amber, Sarah, Justin, Quentin, Christa; great-grandson, Morgan; sister, Cecilia Johnson, Dartmouth; brothers, Frank (Jeannine), Bedford; Donnie, Kingston, Ont.; JoeJoe (Marge), Chezzetcook; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Josephine, Pauline, Eileen, Shirley; brother, Melvin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a graveside committal service in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre.
