Albert Elmer HOGAN

HOGAN, ALBERT ELMER - The death of Albert Elmer Hogan, husband of Geraldine (Maillet) Hogan of Saint John, NB, occurred on Monday, January 10, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John a son of the late James A. and Helena May (Blizzard) Hogan, he was employed with Willett Foods for over fifty years before retirement. Albert was active in a number of organizations: a member of St. Pius X Church serving as an usher, a member of the Knights of Columbus, coached baseball and hockey, served as an umpire, played senior old-timers hockey and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Albert"Junior" Hogan of Sussex, NB and Tony (Rhonda) Hogan of Saint John; one daughter, Jackie (Paul) Kelson of Pocologan, NB; two brothers, Francis Hogan of Montreal, PQ and Brian "Beaver" (Freda) Hogan of Saint John; three sisters, Shirley (Rev. James) Higgins of Richmond, Virginia, Janet (Fred) Spivey of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sheila "Donna" Hogan-Loatman of Saint John; six grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Tricia, Joel, Kilea and Anthony; three great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday, January 12 & 13, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 14, 2005 at 11 am from St. Pius X Church, Somerset Street, Saint John. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later time.
