Elizabeth "Lil" Beschell (née Watson) September 17, 1917 - January 10, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Home We regretfully announce the passing of our dear and beloved Aunt Lil, who passed away in Edmonton on January 10, 2005. Lil was the daughter of Edmonton pioneers, William and Edith Watson, and was born on September 17, 1917. Lil was predeceased by her husband John Spencer “Buster” Beschell and her siblings, George, Edith and James. Trained as a professional secretary, Lil was employed by the U.S.A.F., Namao Air Force Base, Edmonton during W.W. II. She later moved to Montreal where she was employed by the Montreal Board of Trade and the CBC. After returning to Edmonton, she married “Buster” and relocated to California for a short period of time, then returned to Canada, living in Kamloops and Victoria, BC. While she was living in Kamloops, she worked as an executive secretary for the Mayor of Kamloops and then the Dean of Caribou College. While Lil did not have any children of her own, she adored all of her nieces, nephews and their families. She remembered and participated in all the special events in the families. She deeply valued her cousins and friends from the various communities in which she lived. Lil had a special place in her heart for dogs, which she loved more than anything. We will remember Lil hugging her dogs and listening to opera music. We will all miss you “Aunt Lil”. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, January 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton. Evergreen Funeral Chapel Telephone: 780-472-9019
