MacDONALD, DUKE (RONALD) - Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 14, 2005, surrounded by his family. Born October 12, 1941, son of Madeline (Martin) MacDonald and the late Russell MacDonald. Duke is survived by his wife Elaine (Atkinson); sons Rusty, Randy (Tammy), and daughter Cheryl MacDonald (Ron); three step children Trudy Frame (Burt); Stephen Sheffar (Brenda) and Mark Sheffar (Jody); five granddaughters Marie, Courtney, Kelsie, Jenny and Morgan; six grandsons Cory, Jeffrey, Daegan, Aedan, Chase and Benjamin; several nieces, nephews and in addition several very close and loving family members. Duke was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and was employed with the City of Saint John for a number of years and most recently with Q.M. Construction. His passion was his Old Timers Hockey Club the Jolly Rogers, even though he no longer played he had the pleasure of recently watching his son Randy follow in his footsteps on the same team and he enjoyed his Wednesday Night Crib Club. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Funeral service will be held on Monday January 17, 2005 at 3 PM at Forest Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Graham officiating. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
