Patricia Anne Creighton MONTREAL, PQ - Patricia Anne Creighton of Montreal passed away fairly suddenly on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at the Royal Victoria Hospital after a courageous two-year struggle with leukemia. Born in Moncton, daughter of the late Cecil and Lorna Staples, she was the beloved wife of Berney, loving and devoted mother of Susan (Glenn), Geoffrey (Josie), Catherine and Sara (Tim), and very proud Nanna of David, Erin, Ellyn and Rebecca. She was a very dear sister of John (Helen) Staples of Moncton and Shelagh Saunders of Mississauga. An accomplished musician, Pat had been a member of the former Tudor Singers with whom she had toured in England, Europe and Japan. She and Berney spent many happy summers with their children at the family cottage in Shediac. She gave prodigiously of her time and talent to her church as a choir member, Sunday School teacher and lay ministrant. A private family Funeral Service was held on January 17, 2005, followed by a memorial service for all to celebrate her life on January 18, 2005 at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Town of Mount Royal. Donations in Pat's memory may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church, 900 Laird Blvd, Town of Mount Royal, Quebec, H3R 1Y8, to the Oncology Department of the Royal Victoria Hospital, 687 Pine Ave. West, Montreal, PQ H3A 1A1 or to the memorial of the donor's choice.
