Ervin "Papa" William Roma January 21, 1923 - January 17, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) ROMA, Ervin William "Papa" - 81, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 17, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in West Chezzetcook, he was a son of the late Oliver and Maude (Morris) Roma. Ervin was a veteran of the Second World War and was employed for 22 years with Steelcase Canada Ltd. in Toronto. Ervin was a hard worker who loved to laugh, and was a kind, generous friend to all. He is survived by son, David (Louise) Roma, Dartmouth; daughter, Joyce (Bill Jr.) Bowmaster, Mount Uniacke; grandchildren, Allen (Sam), Nicole (Ron), Blair, Jeffrey; five great-grandchildren; beloved sister, Irene Roma, Dartmouth; nephews, Lauchlan and Terry Roma. Ervin was predeceased by companion Dorothy Butler; brother, Gerald; sister, Vera Bellefontaine. Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where a memorial service will take place Thursday, January 20, at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. Private family burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre.
