Mrs. Ella Florence Alder (née Noseworthy) February 27, 1910 - January 14, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Nanaimo) ALDER Ella Florence (Noseworthy) Mrs. Ella F. Alder passed away peacefully January 14th at the age of 94. Born February 27, 1910 in North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Ella was the youngest of five children who moved to British Columbia after 1912. She married and raised her family in North and West Vancouver, moving to Nanaimo in 1969. Mrs. Alder also lived in Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and on Gabriola Island. Predeceased by her husband Frank C. P. Alder, son Roderick (Joan) Alder. Mrs. Alder is loving remembered by daughters Carolyn (Ed) Chase, Elaine (Don. d. 1982) Schon, grandchildren Alan and Ian Schon, Diane (Schon) Brolsma, Doug, Steven and Russell Alder, Allison (Alder) LeBel, Shelley and Bryon Chase, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Ella was a sincere person who took delight in the world around her. She will be honoured forever, for her generosity, wisdom and wit. Mrs. Alder is resting at Sands Funeral Chapel in Nanaimo, One Newcastle Avenue, BC. View to be held at 9:00 am Wednesday January 19th, 2005 with service to follow at 10:00am.
