Phyllis Mary McFadden Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home Phyllis Mary McFadden age 78, of Amherst passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center, Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Springhill, N.S. she was a daughter of the late Jeffrey and Ida (Melanson) LeBlanc. Phyllis was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there for her family in good times and bad. She was very social and loved to travel and visit her family and friends. Phyllis enjoyed knitting warm cozy slippers for her family. Phyllis was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her companion Charles Buck of Springhill, three daughters Lillian (John) Mingo of Quispamsis, N.B., Elaine (Philip) Gagnon of Bedford, N.S. and Carol Ann McFadden at home, two sons Jeffrey (Patricia) McFadden of Amherst and Jack McFadden at home, 10 grandchildren Michael, Kevin, Peter, David, Brad, Stephanie, Nicole, Jason, Jennifer and Paul, 2 great grandchildren Damon and Brandon. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Thomas W. McFadden and one sister Lillian LeBlanc. Her remains are resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Cole officiating. Interment will take place in the spring in the Amherst Cemetery.
