Murphy, Helen (nee Farrell). At the age of 93, Helen passed away peacefully at the Montreal General Hospital on January 17th, 2005, surrounded by her daughters her daughters Colleen and Linda (Winnipeg). She leaves to mourne her grandson Dana (Winnipeg) and sister Lillian; sisters-in-law Thelma and Edith and special brother-in-law Harold. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Maurice, whom even after 43 years of marriage, she referred to as ''the best man in the world''. In addition she was predeceased by her sister Agnes, brothers-in-law Joseph, Dave and Myron and parents Mary and Joseph Farrell. Helen spent over 25 years as a volunteer at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She met some wonderful friends there. Special mention goes to Lou who was a faithful and much appreciated telephone contact. Helen's family would like to thank all the kindness and care extended to her over the past 3 years at the Griffith McConnell Residence by all the staff, including nurses Linda, Marie and Anita and Dr. Dowdall, to kitchen staff and the ''bath lady''. Her special angel came in the form of her nephew Leslie who was her constant ''Saturday visitor'' Your attention to her made ''our hearts sing''. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Monica's Church, 6405 de Terrebonne, on Thursday, January 20th at 11:00 a.m., thence to Notre Dame des Neiges crematorium chapel. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the Mass at the church. The burial will take place at Paroisse St. François-Xavier de Bromont on Saturday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m.
