Jindrich Henry KAUFMAN

Kaufman, Jindrich (Henry). Peacefully at the Montreal General Hospital on January 23rd, 2005 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Bozena (Beatrice) Balkova. Loving father of Tomas (his wife, Orla) and Andrea. Dear grandfather of Jindrich (Henry), Tomas, Nicolas and Meagan. Will be remembered by his relatives and friends. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia and after surviving WWII and then communism , he immigrated to Canada in 1966 with nothing but his wife, son, a suitcase and a hope for a brighter future. Despite a plethora of medical problems, his indomitable spirit for life never abated. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a highly intelligent, kind, generous, respectful man with a great sense of humour. He lead by example and was an inspiration to his children and grandchildren who loved him very much. A Funeral Mass will be held at Ascension of Our Lord Church (corner Sherbrooke St. W. and Clark), Westmount, on Wednesday, January 26th at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive condolences at the church one hour prior to the Mass.
