Bert Ruth ABELLS

GOODMAN, Bert (Bertha) Ruth (nee Abells). Peacefully, on Monday, January 10, 2005, at eighty-six years of age. Devoted wife of the late Paul Goodman. Bert is survived by her beloved children: Murray, Bruce and Ellen, daughters-in-law Carol (Stokes), Hinda (Kandelshein), and son-in-law Mike Barbieri. Cherished grandmother of Marni and Ian Blenkhorn, Cory, Scott, Josh, Dean, and Michelle. Recent great grandmother of Ryan. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Bess and the late Art Goldman, Herb and Chana Abells, Len and the late Evelyn Etkin, Dave and Dafna Abells, Ell and Shirley Abells. Sister-in-law of Phyllis and the late Dave Goodman, the late Lionel and the late Rita Goodman, the late Lil and the late Morris Selick, Micky and the late Ruth Rosenthal, Helen and Sam Gillman. Beloved aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many who will remember her kindness, sincerity, honesty, and accepting nature. The family would like to thank the wonderful Dr. Tina Kader for her many years of love, support and devotion to Bert, and also to thank Dr. Francois Patenaude for his care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Thursday, January 13 at 11:30 a.m. Burial at the Beth Tikvah Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva private.
