Raymond GEOFFRION

GEOFFRION, Raymond CEM CD World War II Veteran, Dieppe P.O.W. "served his country for 27 years with distinction" Hero, father, friend, husband who touched many in his world travels passed away after a lengthy illness at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Friday January 14, 2005. He was an Executive Member of the Dieppe Veterans and P.O.W. Association for many years and will be sadly missed by his Comrades At Arms. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years Mary (nee Doucet), his children, Ray Geoffrion Jr. (Jacqui), Johanne Mallette (Ron), Louise Wasylkiw (Phil), John Geoffrion (Deborah). Beloved grandfather of Joel and Jennifer Geoffrion, Tasha and Greg Mallette, and Myesha and Kaizen Geoffrion. Also survived by on brother Donat, several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Predeceased by infant daughter Diane and son Daniel, his parents, Henri Geoffrion and Alice Jodoin, brothers Aurelien and Jacques and sister Juliette Dutremble. Friends may call at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street, Cornwall, on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Funeral Liturgy Monday January 17, 2005 in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. Rite of Committal, St. Alphonse Parish Cemetery, Hawkesbury, in the spring.
