MURPHY, Charles (Chuck). B.Sc. (Manitoba), M. Eng., Ph.D. Eng. (McGill), born in Winnipeg on July 5, 1930, died of lung-related illness on Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Beloved father of Lise and Sean, former husband to Joyce, Charles was a professor of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University for forty years, and a passionate watercolour painter since his retirement and move from Westmount to Toronto in 2000. Profound thanks to the staff of Mount Sinai Hospital and the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Clinic at Toronto Western Hospital for their compassionate and expert care.
