Parkman and Evelyn Mallett Parkman of East Royalty, PEI; dear sister of Douglas Parkman (Roberta), East Royalty; Olive Seaman (Lloyd), Nepean, ON; Irene McRae (Don), Orton, ON. Predeceased by her sister Freda Cox (Bob) and brothers Fred and David in infancy. Dear aunt to Cathy Parkman Hughes (Doug), Charlottetown; Kenneth Parkman, Mississauga, ON; Jeff Seaman (Rachel), Nepean, ON; Judy Mason (Paul), Old Chelsea, Que; Colin Seaman (Giselle), Richmond Hill, ON; and Lesley Mendes (Jessel), Pembroke, Bermuda; lifelong friend of Shirley Monsebraaten (Art), Ottawa. Predeceased by her former husband David McGuey. For many years, Jean lived in Denver and Vail, Colorado, where she became an accomplished ski instructor, conservationist, and avid explorer of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, completing her goal of climbing the 100 highest peaks. She was an inspirational force in the Colorado Mountain Club, of which she was an elected life member. Cremation has taken place; memorial service at a later date.
