Everlasting Love God saw you getting tired and the cure was not to be He wrapped you in His loving arms and whispered "Come with Me" You suffered much in silence - your spirit did not bend You faced your pain with courage - until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us - your fight was all in vain God took you to His loving home and freed you from your pain. You didn't deserve what you went through and so He gave you rest A golden heart stopped beating, two working hands at rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. You have touched so many lives, but your work on earth is done You have passed the torch to love and be loved and we must carry on And live life to the fullest - Moment by Moment When the days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong We will hear you whisper "Cheer up and Carry on" Each time we see your picture, you seem to smile and say "Don't cry - I'm only sleeping and we'll meet again some day". Your spirit, free at last, will be with us and you will always be - "The wind beneath our wings" Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel (780) 484-5500 Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 1/14/2005.
