MARTEL, Megan Louise "with Christ, which is far better" Peacefully surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer in hospital, Carleton Place, Ontario on Wednesday, January 12th, 2005 at age 60. Megan Louise Walton, beloved wife of Robert (Bob) L. Martel, Carleton Place. Dear mother of Christine (Scott) Rogers, Carleton Place and Kathryn (Ken) Pritchard, Tobermory, Ont. Dear daughter of Mary Foley. Dear sister of John (Margaret) Walton and Mary Anne (Lyle) Rose. Also survived by 5 grandchildren Taylor, Jocelyn, Samantha, Emily, Jaime and 3 nieces. Predeceased by her father John Walton (Margaret). Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte for visiting on Friday, January 14th, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral to the Cornerstone Community Church, Almonte, for a Funeral Service on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Glen Snider officiating. No visitation on Saturday at the Funeral Home. The family will arrive at the church on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. Spring interment St. Isidore Parish Cemetery, St. Isidore, Ontario.
