WOOD, Gilbert (Gib) Gordon. Suddenly at his home in Kingston, on Saturday, January 8, 2005, in his seventy-eighth year. Loving husband for the past fifty-four years of Carol (nee Lines). Dear father of Bob (Sue), Ron and Sandy. Sadly missed by his five granddaughters, Jennifer, Cheryll, Allison, Vicki and Pamela. Survived by his brothers Ernest (Thelma), Sydney (Ruth), and Kenneth (Sybil). Predeceased by his brother Wallace (and his late wife Mildred). Also fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and family at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard), Kingston, on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. Rev. Canon Robert Hales officiating. Cremation followed by inurnment at Arundel, QC, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to Salvation Army (South Asia Relief Fund), would be appreciated by the family.
