Geraldine Jane Tressia WARD

TURBIDE, Geraldine Jane Tressia (nee Ward) Master Warrant Officer CDI Passed away at the Dartmouth General Hospital on Jan. 19, 2005, surrounded by her family, after a long, courageous and painful battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer at the age of 57. She is survived by her husband Denis Turbide of Ottawa, ON, her daughter Juanita Sherlock of Dartmouth, NS, her son Master Corporal Adam Sherlock and daughter-in-law Dr. Courtney Sherlock of Charlottetown, PEI, her mother Mrs. Mary ward of Dartmouth, NS, and predeceased by her father Arthur Ward. She also leaves her brother James Ward and wife Mary of Dartmouth, NS, sister Patricia Lahey and husband Ted of Dartmouth, NS, her grandchildren Amber and Josh Sherlock of Dartmouth, NS, and many nieces and nephews. As per her wishes, her body has been cremated. There will be a memorial church service at the St. Thomas More Church in Dartmouth, NS, corner of Caledonia and Main St. on Friday January 28, 2005 at 2 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Appreciation for all the help provided by the Bone Marrow Transplant team at the Ottawa General Hospital and in particular to Dr. Huebsch, Dr. Anstee, Nurse Linda Hamelin and all of the team of medical experts on 5 East and West. Also special thanks go to he medical personnel at the Canadian Forces Health Services (NDMC) Ottawa and in particular Dr. Helen Robertson, Nurse Claire Griffin and Case manager Nurse Brenda Krawchenko, MWO Diane Mainment and the medical personnel at Canadian Forces Base Halifax and the Dartmouth General Hospital palliative care.
