Mr. Herman Lesser December 28, 1924 - December 14, 2008 Herman Lesser 1924 - 2008 Herman of Saskatoon, SK, age 83, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Saskatoon City Hospital with family at his bedside. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; children, Don Lesser and children Amanda and Jari; Barbara Broadfoot (Dave); Jim (Sandy) Lesser and children Bradley, Christina, Robbie; Shirley (Andy) Hofstra and children Michelle, Michael and Lindsay; Linda (Kevin) Catton and children Brett and Jill; one great-grandchild, Michael McKnight; siblings, Lily Wendland, Alice (Fred) Mahler, Margorie Genereaux, Sylvia Wincure, David (May) Lesser, Cecelia (Neal) Arthurs, Gloria Skott. Herman was predeceased by his brother, Ben Lesser; sisters, Esther Bettker, Mary Spriggs, and Rosie Goodhope. Herman was born on December 28, 1924 in Hague, SK. For twenty-five years he worked for Dairy Pool Producers as a bulk pick-up Milk Truck Driver. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, fishing in northern Saskatchewan, dancing and watching his grandkids perform in Christmas concerts. Special thanks to Dr. Paley for her unending patience, compassion and dedication to Dad and his family. Special thanks to medical and nursing staff at RUH Emergency and 6200, to the nursing staff at SCH 6200 for their excellent care and compassion in Dad’s final hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan Inc., Saskatoon Chapter, 1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 3R5 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8. A Memorial Service will be held at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1201 Broadway Avenue South, Saskatoon, SK on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Hunter officiating.
