Laverna Eventine ELLIOTT

ANDERSON, Laverna Eventine Peacefully at home on Monday, January 24, 2005, Laverna departed this life to join her dearly beloved husband, family members and many friends who had gone before her. Laverna Eventine Anderson of Morrisburg, formerly of Brandon, Manitoba, North Vancouver, B.C., and Banff, Alberta in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward (Ted) Patrick Anderson. Loving mother of Colleen Brock and Patrick Anderson, both of Morrisburg. Dear grandmother of Robert (Diane) Brock of Iroquois. Cherished great grandmother of Michael and Sabrina Brock of Ottawa and Holly and Heather Johnston of Iroquois. Laverna was predeceased by her brothers Earl and Cecil Elliott. During her life Laverna served as a psychiatric nurse at the Brandon Hospital for Mental Diseases (from which she had graduated with highest honours in 1941), as central supply room nurse at Mineral Springs Hospital in Banff, Alberta and, subsequent to her retirement from nursing, as seamstress for the Banff branch of the Hudson Bay Company. At Laverna's request there will be no visitation or funeral. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Banff, Alberta. Memorial donations to the Community Care Access Centre for the Eastern Counties, 709 Cotton Mill Street, Cornwall, Ontario, K6H 7K7, would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
