MARR, CECIL LAWRENCE - Of Quispamsis, passed away peacefully at home on Friday January 21st, 2005 at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Ira and Lillian (Lawrence) Marr. Born in Rothesay NB. on May 19th, 1922. Cecil is survived by his loving wife, Mary Catherine (Thomas). Cecil was employed with the International Longshoreman's Association for 42 years, carpenter for Curtis E. Blakney and built eight homes for his family during his marriage of 65 years. He loved the great outdoors, and spent many happy moments at his summer cottage in Bloomfield with his many toys; snowmobile, ATV, chainsaw, and his snow blower. Cecil is survived by a son; Cecil Philip (Doris) Marr of Balmertown Ont. grandchildren, Susan, Stephen, Randy, and Lisa and great-grandchildren. Four daughters; Joyann Lillian (Gordon) Thorne, grandchildren, Katherine Lynn (William) Dolan, great grandchildren, Kathleen Lillian Dolan, and Elaina Helen Dolan, and a grandson, Aaron Leslie (Shelly Petit) Thorne, grandchildren, Alexandra Katherine Thorne, and Madison Leigh Thorne, a daughter; Carol Diane (Dave) Curtis, granddaughter, Tracy Day (Andrew) Kilpatrick, great granddaughters, Alison Jade Kilpatrick, and Teri Day, daughter, Sandra Jean (David) Donavon, grandson Mark (Helen) Donovan and Troy (Angela) Donovan, daughter; Jeanette Mary (Murray) Gray. Cecil was predeceased by two brothers; Otis, and Theodore Marr, and a sister; Bertha Northrup. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel" on Thursday January 27th, 2005 at 11am. Interment will follow in the spring at the Gondola Point Cemetery.
