Douglas Crozier CHATHAM, ON - At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, on Monday, January 17, 2005, Douglas Crozier, age 86 of Chatham, husband of the late "Betty" Elizabeth (Foster) (2003). Born in Milestone, Saskatchewan in 1918, son of the late Helen McCleod and Gordon Crozier. Dear father of Anne Doher and husband Robert of Naples, Florida and Michael of Moncton, New Brunswick and cherished grandfather of Melissa Smith and husband Scott of Chicago and Steve Crozier and wife Charlene of Sarnia; also surviving are three step-grandchildren, Cheryl Doher of Chatham, Joseph Doher and wife Sheri of Orlando, Florida, Jeffery Doher and wife Sherry of Fort Myers, Florida; as well as seven greatgrandchildren, Cole, Tess, Gracie, Caleb, Justin, Faith and Madison. He is predeceased by a son, Douglas Jr. (2000) and by all his brothers and sisters. Doug was a veteran of WWII and did a four year tour of duty in Italy, England and Egypt to name a few of the places. When he returned home from the war, he joined the CIBC for the next 42 years retiring in Strathroy. He sat on the board for both the hospital and Anglican church. He was an avid curler, golfer and enjoyed bridge, but nothing pleased him more than a large gathering of family and friends at his beloved cottage in Kincardine. He will be greatly missed by all his family, however, never forgotten. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
