Marjorie E. LONG

LONG, MARJORIE E. - The death of Marjorie E. Long of 14 King Square South, Saint John, occurred on Monday, January 24, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Walton and Elsie May (Meadus) Long. Marjorie was formerly employed with Commercial Union Insurance for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, former member of Westfield Golf and Country Club and was active in various positions with Girl Guides of Canada and served as Provincial Commissioner. She is survived by one sister, Nancy Pilcher of Oakville, ON and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, John (Jack) and Fred Long and two sisters, Lily E. Long and Jean Krans. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery.
