M. Gladys MacLelland (née Flemming) December 08, 1913 - January 27, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) MacLELLAND, M. Gladys - 91, Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children on Thursday, January 27, 2005, at her home. Born December 8, 1913, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Ferguson and Margaret (White) Flemming. Gladys enjoyed many years with Oxford Street United Church. Her involvement with the UCW saw her contributing her sewing and handcraft skills on many fundraising occasions. She was a life member of the Grace Hospital Auxiliary where she particularly enjoyed the hospital Stork Shop. Over her lifetime, she spent many summers at her Portuguese Cove cottage. She was an avid bridge player, loved to cook and share her home, and was happiest when surrounded by her cherished family and friends. Gladys is survived by her daughters, Jean Copeland, Ottawa; Cathy Morrison, Halifax; son, Robert, Halifax; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; sisters, Mildred Lohnes, Isobel in infancy; brothers, Norbert, Kenneth, Clary, Cecil, Richard. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only.
