Robert "Bob" Laurence Noel Davies December 25, 1923 - January 27, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) DAVIES, Robert Laurence Noel "Bob" - 81, Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage, formerly of Cole Harbour, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, January 27, 2005. Born December 25, 1923, in Cromer, England, he was the eldest son of the late Robert and Florence (Wellavise) Davies. Bob was a Merchant Mariner during the Second World War. He was a successful farmer in Cole Harbour for 25 years. He was a founding member of Dartmouth Yacht Club and Malagash Bible Camp. Bob had a love for the sea and loved to tell many amusing stories to family and friends. He will be sadly missed but his memory will be cherished by his family and friends. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, the former Madeline Eddy; daughters, Iris (Gary) Sutherland, Coldbrook; Kathryn (Paul) Moore, Ontario; Janie (Rick) Morse, New Minas; Beth (George) Richard, Dartmouth; sons, Robert A., Cole Harbour; Laurence (Christine), Dartmouth; Stephen (Carla), Cole Harbour; brother, David (Gloria), British Columbia; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by grandson, Brandon, in infancy; sisters, Joan Davies, Bessie Muscroft, Iris Swash. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 12-1:45 p.m. Monday, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., Mr. Richard Morse and Mr. Jim McShane officiating. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre. Interment in Lawrencetown Cemetery. Family flowers only. If so desired, a donation in Bob's memory to the Gideon Bible Society, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
