SIMPSON, Essie (Retired Rideau School Teacher) After a short hospitalization, Essie Simpson passed away with faith, dignity and courage on Wednesday, January 5th, 2005 at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife of the late Everett Angus Simpson (1960 ), the loving mother of Keith (Joanne) and Glen (Gail) and grandmother of Scott and Ian. Essie is fondly remembered by family and friends as well as teaching colleagues and students in Kingston where she taught grade 1 for several decades. Essie's fa mily extends its deep gratitude to the home care personnel who supported her independent living in her own home for many years and to the caring staff during the last month on Connell 3 at K.G.H. The family will welcome visitors at the Robert J. Reid & Sons Funeral Home, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street), Kingston on Friday, January 7 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 236 Nelson Street, Kingston on Saturday, January 8 at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery, Smiths Falls on Monday, January 10 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church, 236 Nelson Street, Kingston as expressions of sympathy.
