MCINTYRE, Samuel Albert Sr. `Al' Suddenly, but peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, January 12, 2005, with his eldest daughter Catherine by his side and on the birthday of his daughter Carolyn. Samuel Albert McIntyre, in his 78th year. Loving father of daughters Catherine Ann and Carolyn Elizabeth, both of Kingston and predeceased only 6 months ago by his son, Samuel Albert McIntyre, Jr. `Sam Jr.' as well as two infant sons, Johnny and Michael. Beloved husband of 40 years to the late Margaret Elizbeth McPherson (November 1998). Sam `Al' was born in Gananoque on April 22, 1927 and was the son of the late John Cecil Harvey McIntyre and the late Lucinda Elizabeth James. Dear brother of Cecil of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Amy an d Margaret, both of Kingston, Lillian of Gananoque and Ruth of Lethbridge, Alberta. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins, both in Canada and the US. Sam will also be sadly missed by his special cat, Tiger. Predeceased by his brothers Johnny and Jimmy and by sisters Elsie, Helen and Esther. Samuel "Al" was a Veteran of WW II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 92, Gananoque for 56 years. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boul evard) on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, January 18, 2005 for Liturgy of the Word in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m., The Reverend Father Charles Gazeley officiating. Rite of Committal St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. All members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 92 and all sister branches of requested to attend a Legion Service on Monday at 7 p.m., at the James Reid Funeral Home. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Kingston Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
