Alban Drisdelle Alban Drisdelle, 92, of Résidence du Marais, Dieppe, formerly of Moncton, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a brief illness. Born August 21, 1912 in Saint-Paul, NB, he was the son of the late William Drisdelle and Ida Melanson. A businessman, Alban was past owner of Al's Variety, North End Newsstand, and was a founding member of Beauséjour Curling Club. He is survived by a daughter, MarieClaire of Moncton; two sons, Leonard (Irene) of Dieppe, and Roland (Cheryl) of Pte-du-Chne; two sisters, Gérène Leger (Émile) of Moncton and Lorraine Surette of Gardner, MA; two brothers, Emery "Pit" of Moncton, and Gérard (Marie-Jeanne) of Montréal; 11 grandchildren, Marc, Daniel, Serge, Claude, Nadia, Renée, Ginette, Bradley, Jeffrey, Kimberly, Jamie; three great-grandchildren, Kloé, Philippe, Eden; a daughterin-law, Pauline; two sisters-in-law, Ella and Alice; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie (née Cormier); a son, Donald; a sister, Olive Clowater (Raymond); two brothers, Clarence, Edgar; and a grandson, Patrick. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900). Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:50). The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
