GIBBS, RAYMOND SIDNEY - May 20, 1928 - January 27, 2005. Devoted husband of 45 years to Grace (McDonald) Gibbs and loving father of four: Wandah Gibbs-Smith (late Allen), Sylvia Russ (Artur), Graeme (Elizabeth Duke-Gibbs), Donna-Rae (Michael Reilly); grandfather of six: Dominick, Kristofor, Amari, Isabella, Philip and Roman; and brother of Donald, Robert and Jean (Siva). Raymond Sidney Gibbs, 76, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Cornwall Rd., Shediac passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born May 20, 1928 in Saint John, N. B., Raymond was the son of the late Robson and Bessie (Tower) Gibbs. He was a great spirit and lived life to his fullest ability right until the end. Ray was a totally present husband and father and family and friends remember fondly all the years of camping, travelling, living abroad, his musical prowess and gift for storytelling. A school teacher, Raymond taught French for 26 years and students will remember his home movies of France and his bellowing of La Maseillaise. In keeping with Raymond's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In his memory, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Canada (902) 422-3656.
