Dorothy Helen Powel-Harper (née Leischner) January 24, 1925 - January 29, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Valley View Funeral Home (Surrey) Powel-Harper, Dorothy Helen (nee: Leischner) passed away peacefully January 29, 2005 at Fleetwood Place in Surrey at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by brothers; Gordon, Norman and sister Leona. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of fifteen years Bob. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her sons; Blaine, Barry (Daryl), Van (Roxanne) and Philip, her two grandchildren Crystal and Matthew. Her brother Melvin Leischner, as well as other family members and friends also remember her. Dorothy enjoyed many years with the Coquitlam School Board and then with the RCMP until her retirement. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday February 9 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Valley View Funeral Home 14660 72 Ave. Surrey. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
