Joy Wood March 31, 1936 - January 30, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Home Joy Wood of Coquitlam, BC, formerly of Edmonton passed away on January 30, 2005 due to heart failure. Joy was born on March 31, 1936 in South End on Sea, England. Joy will be sadly missed by her devoted husband Ron, who, cared for her as she dealt with Alzheimer’s. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, daughter Lindsey (Keith) of Port Coquitlam; sons, Steve (Rhona) of Edmonton and Scott (Lisa) of Abbotsford. “Nana” will be lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Riley, Katie, Sarah, Brett, Autumn, Erin and Matthew. She is survived by her sister Essie (Geff) and sister-in-law Jean of England. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Sid. Joy will be remembered for her spunky personality, great sense of humor and lovingness toward her family and friends. Joy had the opportunity to explore much of Canada and lived in Toronto, Kitchener, Windsor, Sault Ste Marie, Edmonton and Coquitlam. She will be missed greatly by those who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road, Edmonton.
