Orville "Ollie" Olson Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Orville (Ollie) Olson Death came to Orville Edwin Olson, February 3rd, 2005 after a worthwhile life of 85 years and a happy 50 year marriage to his beloved wife Louise (Murchison). He will be lovingly missed by his daughter Marina, sisters Lorna Lee and Dorthy Williamson; and brother Gordon, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, inlaws and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Alvin and Norman, sisters Ailie McArdle, Ethel Joyal, Margaret Ticknor, Eleanor Graham and Jean Campbell. During his life he gave generously of his time and talent to improve life for the disabled. A large part of this was done through his role as a Rehabilitation Counseller for the Canadian Paraplegic Association. Orville loved spending time with family and friends whether it was at his home or on one of their many vacations; or at their home away from home in Florida. He also enjoyed fishing, bridge and crib. His big heart and bad jokes will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank his homecare workers, nurses and doctors on the 4th and 5th N. Floors at the Victoria General Hospital for their compassionate care. Instead of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Orville's memory to Ten Ten Sinclair Housing or the Canadian Paraplegic Association - MB Division. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5th at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Cremation has taken place.
