Ellen Sarah CAREY

Ellen Sarah Carlin July 07, 1917 - February 08, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Leyden's Funeral Home (Claresholm) Carlin – Ellen Sarah, passed away February 8, 2005 at the age of 87 years in Claresholm. She was the beloved mother and mother-in-law of David and Cindy, Claresholm. She is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sisters Irene Lynch (Tom), Claresholm, Evie McGuire, Kamloops, BC, and a sister-in-law Flo Carey, Claresholm. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Emma Carey, sister Florence Gipson and brother Wesley Carey. Ellen was born and educated in Claresholm. She later owned and operated a beauty salon, and from 1954-1979 was with the Claresholm Post Office. Ellen was an active member in curling and golf. A Memorial Service will be held at the Claresholm United Church (4803-2 Street West) on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Paul Rumbolt officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
