Arlene Ruth Berger August 04, 1939 - February 07, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) BERGER, Arlene Ruth - 65, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 7, 2005. Born in Dartmouth, she was a daughter of the late Lucy (DeBaie) and John Findlay. One of the joys of her life was her volunteer work with her "music and friends". Devoted to her family, she spent most of her time with her children and grandchildren. Mom loved to dance and spent many nights with friends dancing and enjoying fiddle music. She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Byron) Headge, Janet (Trevor) Negus, Margaret (Derrick) Frosst, Teresa (Sean) Naugle, all of Dartmouth; Carol Anne Berger (Kevin Nugent); son, Richard, Halifax; grandchildren, Teri-Lee (Sean), Michael (Kandie), Dale-Marie, Blair, Krystal, Ian, Lauren and Amy; great-grandchildren, Rebecca and T.J.; step great-grandchildren, Shiloh and Spencer; brother, Laurie, Eastern Passage. She was predeceased by husband, John W.A.; sisters, Mary, Margaret, Dorothy; brothers, Joseph, John, Walter and Gordon. Arrangements entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, with funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday.
