KRAHN, Frank, At home, embraced by the love of his family, on Thursday, January 13, 2005, in his 74th year. Dearly loved husband and travel companion of Rita since 1951; Cherished father of Frank (Manon) of Fonthill, Kathleen (Peter Ireland) of Tarp on Springs, Fl., Robert (Cecelia) of Mexico City, Mex., William (Anita) of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Kristine (Timothy Nemeth) of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Gerald (Mimi) of St. Catharines; Brother of Peter (the late Hilda) and Helen (George Riss) of Niagar a-on-the-Lake; Brother-in-law of William (Gerry) Emond, of Syracuse, N.Y., and Rose Emond, of St. Catharines. A wonderful Grandpa, Great-Grandpa and Uncle will be greatly missed by his 10 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and by his many Nieces an d Nephews. Born in 1931 in Waldheim, Saskatchewan, Frank was a dedicated, active resident of Niagara-on-the-Lake since 1939. He was a former member of the Canadian Reserves and a longtime member of Br. 124 of the Royal Canadian Legion. After an estab lished and varied career in welding and construction, Frank spent 10 years at the Lake Street Armoury. Following his retirement, creative welding became his passion. Cremation has taken place and private family entombment of the cremated remains will take place at Niagara Lake Shore Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chapel of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 415 Regent Street, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2005. A memorial service under the auspices of Br. 124 of the Royal Canadian Legion will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 7 o'clock. A service to celebrate his life will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Byron Street, on Tuesday morning, January 18, 2005, at 11 o'clock. F ollowing the service, friends are invited to join the family at Frank and Rita's "Second Home," the Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre, Platoff Street, as they continue to celebrate Life and Life Everlasting. Frank's request was that in lieu of flo wers you give thanks for those near and dear to you, and that any memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army or War Amps of Canada.
