LEWIS, Rev. Walter Jesse, Has moved onto meet his Maker on Thursday, February 10, 2005, in his 87th year. He leaves behind his true love, his wife Doris (Dinkie), his two daughters Wanda (Nowell) Brain and Wendy (Glenn) Lampman. Lovingly remembered by five grandsons, Michael (Sherri) Scott, Andrew (Amanda) Hirtle, Christopher Hirtle, Larry (Christie) Scott, Christopher Scott, one granddaughter, Emily Brain and five great-grandchildren, Austin Hirtle, Xavier Scott, Shyanne Scott, Joshua Allen an d Madison Scott. Predeceased by his parents John Albert and Elizabeth Anne Lewis and one brother William. Rev. Lewis was born in Brill, Buckinghamshire, England, on July 18, 1918. He retired in 1982 as an active Anglican Clergyman. He was a member of St. David's Anglican Church, Welland and St. Luke's Anglican Church, Cambridge, the Galt Masonic Lodge No. 257 AF and AM, Myrtle Lodge No. 337 AF and AM Welland, the Royal Canadian Legion Preston 126. The family will receive friends at the BARTHEL F UNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Masonic Service will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 1485 Mary Avenue, Cambridge o n Monday, February 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Peter Baldwin officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the CNIB would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
