Robert Harrison MANNETTE

MANNETTE, Robert Harrison "Midge", Born August 17, 1939 and passed away peacefully on January 24, 2005. Midge was the beloved husband of Carole Mannette. Father of Michael and his wife Carol and his grandchildren Stephanie and Michael and his wife V anessa of Mississauga, Ont; Cindy Sherar and her husband Kevin and grandchildren Henry, Isaac and Nathan of St. Catharines and Carson and his wife Catherine and grandson Riley of Thorold. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Kay of Houston, Texa s and his brother Richard of Oakville, Ont. Midge was born in Timmins, Ontario and resided in Schumacher, Ontario, but headed south at an early age and made his home in St. Catharines. Midge always wanted to feed the world from the time he was a litt le boy, making french fries for his buddies from his mother's kitchen. He finally got his wish in 1984, when he retired from the trucking business, to pursue his career as a food concessionaire, which he did until the time of death. Cremation has tak en place. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Christ Church McNab, 1294 McNab Rd., Niagara-on-the-Lake, where the funeral services will follow in the church. Service will be conducted by the Reverend Dorothy Hew lett (For directions please call 905-685-5513).
