Margaret O'ROURKE

O'ROURKE, Margaret, December 9, 1935 - February 10, 2005. Amidst the familiar surroundings of home, comforted by family and friends, Margaret finally succumbed to the effects of a long struggle for life over cancer. Predeceased by her mother Margare t and father Edward, brothers William, James and Matthew Edwards, all of Scotland. She is survived by brothers Edward, Jack, George and sister Elizabeth. Married 44 years to James who provided succor until the end. Mother of Paul and Kevin, and mothe r-in-law to Kim and Miki. Grandmother to Erin, Jacqueline, Daniel, Michelle, Sarah and Patrick. She will be missed by many. A long standing employee of Brock University and member of St. Alfred's parish, Margaret touched the lives of friends and fami ly members alike. Friends will be received at the PATRICK J. DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 39 Court St., St. Catharines, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines, on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal to take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. The family would like to extend appreciation to family physician Dr. Rosloski for a lifetime of treatment and the staff at the Hotel Dieu Oncology Clinic.
