Marie Helen Allen (née Simo) February 07, 1937 - February 10, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (Burlington Chapel) ALLEN, Marie (“Simo”) – Suddenly on Thursday February 10, 2005 Marie passed away with her husband Robert Allen by her side. Cherished by her sons Dennis Simo (Jan), John Scott Simo and by her step-children Robert Allen (Renate), Deborah Allen, Linda Bazinet (Michel) and Heather McKinnon (Ryan). Loved grandmother to Jonathon, Jenny, Katie, Matthew and Grace. Dear sister to Katalin Molner (Mihaly) of Kecskemet, Hungary and dear daughter to Maria Veress of Varosfold, Hungary. Predeceased by her father Andras Veress. Her family will always remember her strength, unyielding support and limitless affection. Her determination and bravery as she fought in the Hungarian Revolution will be told for generations to come. In addition to her unrelenting focus on her family, Marie was known as a surrogate mother to all of her children’s friends. Friends may call at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, BURLINGTON CHAPEL 2241 New St. (At Drury Lane) Burlington, (905-637-5233) on Monday February 14 from 7-9pm and Tuesday February 15 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Wellington Square United Church, 2121 Caroline St. Burlington on Wednesday February 16, 2005 at 11:00am. Interment to follow in Burlington Memorial Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers donations to the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Fund would be appreciated by the family.
