Wilfred Cecil Steeves 1935-2005 HILLSBOROUGH, NB - Wilfred Cecil Steeves, 69, of Hillsborough went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 7, 2005. He passed away suddenly at his home. Wilfred was born in Hillsborough on December 31, 1935, the son of the late Curtis and Sadie (Mitton) Steeves. Wilfred was self-employed as a Custom Drywall Finisher. He was known throughout the area for his expertise. Many would say when Wilfred was done doing his drywall, it was just as smooth as glass. He was a founding member of the Victory Bible Baptist Church in Hillsborough where he was very active serving as a Trustee, Usher and former Deacon. He loved spending time with his family and was a very dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Wilfred always had a smile for everyone. He was a very special man who will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Catherine (Crossman) Steeves; his three daughters, Brenda Gordon (John) of Riverview; Gloria Steeves of Sussex, Lorna Ralston (Michael) of Italy; his two sons, Ralph Steeves (Tracey) of Riverview, Craig Steeves (Melissa) of Quispamsis; his two sisters, Joyce Smith (Everett) and Glendine White (Herman) both of Hillsborough; half sister, Florence Pleadwell (Fred) of Saint John; half brother, Norman Steeves of Western Canada. He will also be deeply missed by his three precious granddaughters, April Gordon, Erica Steeves and Elizabeth Steeves. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday evening from 6 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 10, 2005 at 2pm with Rev. Andrew Jardine officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations to the Bible Centered Ministries International, Canada or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
