Margaret (Peggy) King Delano MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Margaret (Peggy) King Delano, widow of Gordon R. Delano, of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at the age of 85. Born in Scotland, Margaret was the daughter of the late Brathwaite and Annie Bella (Rose) Turnbull. She was a homemaker and attended St. James Presbyterian Church, Newcastle, NB. Margaret is survived by one son, David (Judy) of Boom Road, NE; one sister, Irma O'Donnell (Sterling) of Bellville, ON; three brothers, John (Lourdes), Donnie (Peggy) and David (Pat) all of Ferry Road, NB; one grandson, Gordie; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Wilma, Anne and Katherine. Visitation was held at Bell's Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service was held on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at 2 PM from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Cal MacInnis officiating. Organist/Soloist was Jacqueline Allain. Active pallbearers were: Steven, Bob, John, and Bill Turnbull, Bruce Clark and John Hubbard. Burial will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery later in the spring. As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or a memorial of one's choice.
