HOLMES, ETHEL MARGUERITE - At Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB, Ethel Marguerite Holmes of Oak Bay, NB, went to be with her Lord on February 11, 2005. Widow of Cecil Edgar Holmes. Born in Bayside, December 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Allison and Beatrice (Markee) Beckerton. She is survived by her sons, Allison and Linda of Chamcook, LeRoy of Oak Bay and John and Janice of Summerside, PEI; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; sister, Sarah MacLaren of Petitcodiac; and sisters-in-law, Audrey Beckerton and Madeline Holmes of St. Andrews; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Ethel was predeceased by granddaughter, Terry Bryant; brothers Thomas and Norman; sisters Irene Smythe and infant sister Alice Marie; daughters-in-law Lorraine and Marilyn. Ethel was a founding member of the St. Andrews Pentecostal Church. Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB from where funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 2 pm with Rev. Philip Anderson and Rev. Calvin Fenwick officiating. Interment at Sandy Point Cemetery, Bayside, NB. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Charlotte County Cancer, Palliative Care or charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
