Hilda Hitje Westra (née Tabak) June 06, 1914 - February 12, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Avalon & Surrey Funeral Home WESTRA, Hilda (nee Tabak) predeceased by her husband Ralph Westra in 1994. Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, February 12, 2005. She is survived by her 8 daughters and 6 sons-in-law; Teresa (Harry), Florence (John deceased), Audrey (Hans), Grace (Peter), Sandra, Betty (Thomas), Hilda (Phil), and Evelyn (Vic); 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George and Jack; one sister, Atty Feenstra of Dokkum, Netherlands, and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her love for God, her love for her family and her love for her many, many dear friends. A celebration of life service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church of Vancouver, 2670 Victoria Dr., Vancouver, on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a get together for family and friends in the Church Annex. Prior to Memorial Service, a Graveside Service for family and very close friends will be at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 72 Ave., Surrey, B.C.
