Lloyd Ivan Dewling January 22, 1936 - February 13, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) DEWLING, Lloyd Ivan - 69, Glen Haven, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Lloyd was born in Halifax, the son of the late Ivy Catherine (Dewling) Falt of Halifax. He was an employee of Canadian National Telegraph & Telephone delivering telegraphs on a bicycle in downtown Halifax. Lloyd was a long-time employee of Hudson Bay Company (previously Simpson's) working in the warehouse and retiring with 41 years of service. He was a member of the Salvation Army Fairview Citadel Corps formerly Halifax North Corps since he was a child. He was predeceased by his son, Gary. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Bugbee (Leonard); grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jonathan Bugbee; sister, Linda MacDonald (Paul), Bridgewater; nieces, Shawna (Stan) Neckar, Tampa, Fla.; Sarah Lynn (Owen) Phillips, Ottawa, Ont. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 17, in The Salvation Army Fairview Citadel, 50 Gesner St., Capt. Bob MacDonald officiating with burial in St. Peter's Cemetery, Hackett's Cove. Reception to follow in St. Peter's Church. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army Fairview Citadel or a charity of choice.
