Frank J. MCGRAW

Frank J. McGraw Frank J. McGraw, 97, of the Veterans Health Center, Moncton and formerly of Tenth Street, Moncton passed away at his residence on Monday, February 14, 2005. Born in Port Elgin, son of the late Daniel and Mary (Legere) McGraw. Frank attended Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, was a retired ambulance driver at The Moncton Hospital with twenty years service. After his retirement, he began doing carpentry work as a handyman. Member of the Moncton Legion #6; Veteran of the 2nd World War, he served overseas with the Royal Canadian Artillery in England, France, Germany, Holland, Spain and Italy. He was wounded three times in the defense of Holland and Britain. After the War, he served with the Reserve Army (14th Field Ambulance). Frank will be sadly missed by his wife of over 73 years, Sarah (Babineau) McGraw; daughters, Frances Cormier (Allan), Dorchester, Tina Harper (Greg), Moncton, Bertha Arsenault (Leonard), Fredericton, Mary Lane (Alan), Markham, ON, Simone Flanagan (Clifford), Moncton; sons, Mel (Marguerite), Miramichi, Nelson (June), Oshawa, ON, Norman (Donna), Halifax, Michael (Eva), Moncton, Richard (Jackie), Grand-Digue; 45 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; sister, Madeline McGraw, Saint John; daughter-in-law, Cecile McGraw; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, Reginald; brothers, Fred, Charlie, Herman. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Thursday 2 to 4, 7 to 9, Moncton Legion #6 Memorial Service Thursday 7pm. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel Friday, February 18, 2005, 11am Rev. Bernard Sloan officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary, Dieppe.
