MATHESON, Allan Clifford - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Allan Clifford Matheson. Left to mourn his loss are his loving wife and life partner of 61 years Sophie, his daughters Darlene (Jim) Jones of Blind River, ON, and Brenda (Roland) Washburn of Stevensville, ON, his sons Ron (Joan) and Don (Pat) of Georgetown, ON and Randy (Hazel) of Lewis Mountain, N.B.. Dearly loved grandfather of Mitzi (Jeff) Sorokolit, Jeff (Phyllis) Jones, Sam (Lori) Vaughan, Phillip (Lisa) Matheson, Erin (Scott) Dobbins, Marnie (Rick) Matheson, Allan (Jennifer) Matheson, Craig (Leanne) Matheson, David (Jeannine) Matheson, and Dan (Kelly) Matheson. Delighted great grandfather of Rilley, Jordan, Jake, Arian, Tristin, Emily, Christopher, Terri-Lyn, Brett, Zachary, Hailey and Nicholas. He leaves behind a sister Dorothy Reid, sisters-in-law Emily (Ellis) Allen and Doreen Hernden, brothers-in-law Bert (Edith) Parker and Mitch (Claudette) Parker, all of Sault Ste. Marie and Grant (Grace) Parker of Thunder Bay, ON. His eight siblings predecease him, Minnie Archibald, Ruth Yaden, Alice Bookman, Bernice Nelson, Marjorie, Hugh, Arnold and Lloyd. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown, (905)877-3631 on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 5th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation follows.
