J. Elwin ALLABY

J. Elwin Allaby 1914 - 2005 Elwin Allaby, 91, of Hillside Drive, Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, February 19, 2005. Born in Salt Springs, NB on January 27, 1914, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Lockhart) Allaby. Elwin retired from Canada Post with over 35 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Acacia Lodge F. & A.M, a long time member of the First United Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling. Elwin is survived by his nephew, Gordon Thorne (Sharon) of Quispamsis; and a niece, Georgina Zirpolo (Francis) of Canaan Station, NB. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jean (Brown) Allaby; sisters, Dorothy Boone and Annie Willis; step-brothers, Hanford, Lawson and Hiram. With respect for Elwin's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family service will be held. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
